Drawing for Beginners: Your Hand will do What Your Eye Sees

Each class in this series builds upon the last, to develop your ability to really see things and draw them. You will find the class not only improves your work, but enhances your appreciation of art. You will work in pencil, charcoal, pastels, brush ink, pen and watercolor. All supplies will be provided except the following two items, to be brought by each student: 1) a 9 x 12 inch spiral-bound book with paper suitable for pen, pencil and watercolor, and 2) a pocket size sketchbook for daily drawing. See the syllabus for more details. Alice Phalen has a BA and MA in Fine Arts. She has illustrated books and sold and shown her work extensively.
